FAQ’s
New to empanadas?
We're here to help.
1. What is an empanada?
An empanada is a handheld pastry or turnover typically filled with savory ingredients. Ours are “Argentine-style”, the dough is light and flaky, they can be baked or fried and the most traditional filling is beef, onions, and spices.
2. How big is each empanada?
Each empanada is 5 ounces. We recommend eating 2-3 empanadas per person, depending on how hungry you are!
3. What kind of dipping sauces go well with empanadas?
You have the choice of two dipping sauces to add to your order! We have Chimichurri and a spicy Salsa Criolla. We recommend the Chimichurri for the meat-filled empanadas and the Salsa Criolla for the cheese-filled empanadas.
4. What food & drinks do you recommend pairing with empanadas?
Empanadas go well with wine or beer (preferably a Malbec from Argentina!) and can be eaten as a snack, with a side as a full meal, or anytime you need something wholesome on the go!
